Saas Fee - Chamonix - Tignes - Les 2Alpes - Port Camargue - Monaco | Roadtrip 09 - Update4

With a BIG Preller

Back home, back in our everday life - we are freezing in the Bavarian Alps!



This Blog will be something special: first of all it`s our first blog in English and secondly this Blog will never be ready, that means we will expand it frequently with new text as well as with videos and pics.



1. Expansion

I`ll start telling you something about our travel route. Marinus and Hartmann started on 2nd of July in Reit im Winkl, collected me in Innsbruck and we went straight to Switzerland! First stop Schwyz, lunch at my beautiful girlfriend Desi. Afterwarts we went on with the two girls Desi and her sister Julia to Saas Fee, where we stayed eight or nine days shredding and of course partying. Party highlight was our short trip to Brig, where Kya Bamba gave their best.

After this couple of days we left Saas Fee and continued our roadtrip to Chamonix. Party with a multicultural mixture of people from all over the world. Next day we crossed the Mont Blanc Tunnel (32,50 Euro!!!) and went on to Tignes, the highest village of Europe (2100m). Tignes is in some way really funny, nice landscape pimped up with awful hotels in 60ies style. Never mind, skiing up on the glacier was awesome, much better than in Saas Fee because it was slushy instead of icy.

After five Days we continued and drove over the highest passes of the Tour de France to Les Deux Alpes. 2Alpes was characterized of bad weather and heavy partys. Never the less the snowpark of Deux Alpes is the biggest summerpark of Europe, including problem with speed, wind and less snow!

Three weeks in the Alps with all kinds of weather we decided to do something other: lets go to the Cote d`Azur, feeling like Gucci guys! Port Camargue, near Montpellier was the city, Andi aka Seebär or in French simply l`ours de mer the host. With him came Dominik Rickauer, simply called Der Deitsche (the German). All others of us proclaimed to be Autrians because of the bad German image in France. Port Camargue, long sandbeach, drinking German (or better to say Autrian) "Prolls", having fun in the sun. To party we went to Montpellier or La Grande Motte.

After one week at Port Camargue, we felt to Gucci for the world and decided to go to Monaco, the place where people like us love to stay. However, we had no car for beeing accepted. Bad night, 12 hours in car welcome back where we came from: BAVARIA!

3. Expansion

Information about the summerski resorts Saas Fee, Tignes and 2Alpes:

Saas Fee: Park (3300-3500m), enough snow for whole summer, less jibbs, good kickers. Open till 13:00 (icy)

Tignes: Park (3400-3500m), less snow than Saas Fee (official open till 31.8.), good jibbs, many small kickers and a big one (to flat landing), open till 12:45 (slushy)

Les Deux Alpes: Park (3250-3400m), to little snow (official open till 31.8.), huge Park with 36 obstacles. Problems with speed, snow and wind, open till 13:00 (icy/slushy). We were not able to jump the kickers because of wind and less speed.
